Autumn Al-Ziara Sat 17th April - with Live Arabic Drums‏

Dear Ladies
Autumn Al-Ziara is coming up – an afternoon-tea gathering for women in the Middle Eastern tradition, in the Blue Mountains.
Joining us this time are two beautiful women who play Arabic drums, coming up from Sydney. Michelle Svenger and Helen Fischer, both ex-band members of Al-Janoub Arabic percussion band will be re-uniting for Al-Ziara – don’t miss this special afternoon! Live Arabic drums are beautiful and powerful on their own or accompanying music. If you play zills, please bring them!
As usual, there will be sweet treats and afternoon tea, a safe and friendly intro to Belly Dance workshop for your girlfriends to have a go, open dance circles and ….. drum roll………performances. I will be performing this time. More performers may join us as we get closer to the date. This event is open to all women from the community and their daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, girlfriends. This is a very casual affair, so if you feel like performing in a Middle Eastern style please email me now.
